As infrequently as possible, I phone home. This is what happens.

Mother: Ok, so I’ll ring you in a bit just to make sure that’s ok
Me: Ok
Mother: Will you be here?
Me: Where?
Mother: On your phone
Me: Yes, I’ve got the phone here, by my side
Mother: Ok. So keep it undone won’t you…?
Me:…………?
